mental health care

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of care that we have embedded in our service is based on the belief that, by developing a programme of individual care and attention for our service users, this will contribute to their well-being and comfort so that they are able to live in the wider community with appropriate support, guidance and assistance. In order to implement our philosophy of care, we have set ourselves a series of Aims and Objectives that we consistently aim to achieve and maintain. Only by continually checking and reviewing our performance against these Aims and Objectives can we assure our service users and ourselves that we are delivering the appropriate service in an agreed and beneficial way.

Our Philosophy is:

  • To provide a supportive service in a safe and secure environment, in a domestic setting, which encourages the development and re-learning of daily living skills, fosters independence, hence empowering the Service User to achieve re-integration back into the community or move forward with less support.
  • To provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment programme tailored to each Service Users individual needs. This is aimed at improving Daily Living Skills, aiding sustainable mental illness recovery, eliminating inappropriate behaviour and establishing appropriate patterns of coping and problem solving.
  • To promote an environment that enables individuals to understand and value the need to retain their dignity, rights, privacy and religious and cultural beliefs.
