To support other members of staff in the provision of care; ensuring clients retain as much of their dignity and individuality as possible as well as being involved in the general activities of the service.
This is an excellent opportunity for support workers to work with adults with mental health issues in a residential setting throughout the Carlisle area. As a support worker you will require a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or similar care related subjects or willing to work towards one plus moving and handling, first aid and food hygiene. The residents you will work with need support workers to help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking and pursuing their hobbies and socialising in the wider community. Thanks to your patient care and understanding you can help them learn and practice these skills raising their self esteem and enabling them to enjoy a more independent lifestyle. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.
